The Process
 
coffee roaster      The Healthy Bean™ coffee is the world’s first all-natural coffee product infused with antioxidants. Our ground coffee is additionally blending with 5 grams of whey protein per 12-ounce up, equal to the amount found in a glass of milk. All of our coffee is USDA certified organic, Fair-Trade certified, and contains an infused mixture of antioxidants from green tea, the acai berry, pomegranates, grapeseeds, and blueberries, ultimately containing the antioxidant power of three cups of green tea.

     Coffee is an ideal vehicle for the supplements, which are undetectable and leave no aftertaste. The 100% Arabica beans are ground and infused with nutrients in a patented, state-of–the-art process. The coffee can be brewed just like regular coffee, but offer a concentrated source of antioxidants and 5 grams of protein per 12-ounce cup.

     While many of the naturally occurring antioxidants in coffee are lost during the roasting process, The Healthy Bean™ brings an array of free-radical fighting powerhouses into the finished product, and, as aforementioned, 5 grams of protein in our line of ground coffees. Studies suggest that antioxidants may provide anti- aging, anti-inflammatory and cancer inhibiting properties.

     The Healthy Bean™ is growing quickly as people learn about us and what we do. Our products and the variety therein will be growing with us. We've just released two new flavors: Mocha Java and Hazelnut, which are available in decaf and can be purchased in our Online Store.

daily diet. Amino acids repair body cells, build and repair muscles and bones, and provide energy to
the body. It is 90% protein, with little to no fat, lactose, or cholesterol, and is one of the most digestible forms of protein available.

 

Grapes Grape Seed Extract

The compounds found in grape seed extract include oligomeric proanthocyanidins,       more commonly known as OPCs, which are thought to be more powerful anti-       oxidants than vitamins C, E and beta-carotene. OPCs have been shown in    research studies to promote cardiovascular, brain, skin and eye health; and anti- bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-inflammatory activities.

Green tea contains a substance called epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which plays an important role in the prevention of a wide array of diseases including cardiovascular conditions and cancer as well as gastrointestinal disorders, periodontal disease and dental cavities. Pure EGCG is one of the most active components of green tea. It is a natural and highly effective antioxidant, and also has antimicrobial, antiangiogenic, antithrombotic and anti-inflammatory properties.

 

Wild BlueberriesWild Blueberry

    Wild blueberry extract contains extremely high ORAC (oxygen radical absorbance       capacity) and chlorogenic acid levels. Benefits include anti-aging, cognitive         function, glucose management, cardiovascular, vision and urinary tract health.      Blueberries contain high levels of anthocyanins and numerous other polyphenols,    which are powerful flavonoid antioxidants. Blueberries provide large amounts of chlorogenic acid, which is thought to be one of the “cancer fighters” found in fresh fruits and vegetables. Additionally, blueberries contain strong anti-inflammatories such as the arthritis-relieving pigment cyanidin.

Pomegranate is known for its high content of antioxidants in general, and particularly tannins and flavonoids. Pomegranate shows strong and combined anti-oxidative and
anti-inflammatory potency. Such potency supports use of pomegranate for people
with cardiovascular conditions, tendency to hyperplasia and cancer development.
In addition, pomegranate offers antibacterial and antifungal activity.

 

Acai         Acai Berry

       The Acai berry, pronounced “a-sigh-ee,” has been shown to have 10 times the antioxidants of
     grapes and twice the antioxidants of blueberries. The Acai berry is a leading source of the anti-
   oxidant anthocyanin. Anthocyanin is in a class of phytochemicals found in red wine that is believed
 to have a beneficial effect on the cardiovascular system. This antioxidant has also been shown to
                               help prevent blood clots, improve circulation, prevent artherosclerosis and to combat cancer.
